the location was ACCEPTABLE and close to many restaurants.
The absence of air conditioning during warm weather was a problem. My room window directly faced the private balcony of an adjacent building. Privacy was compromised. Reaching reception required climbing stairs with luggage.

I ended up using the stairs after my first trip. The room offered only the bare necessities. I consider the value for money the worst I've experienced in several years at any hotel.

Solid Stay Close to the Station
friendly staff comfortable bed central location
The reception staff was quite friendly and helpful. my room was adequately sized and clean, with a comfortable bed for the few nights i stayed. the hotel's proximity to the train station was a huge plus for my travel plans. the morning breakfast had fresh options. I found the scrambled eggs to be particularly tasty!!!
the street outside could be a bit noisy at times, particularly in the early morning.

my room included a comfortable bed with two separate quilts. there was a walk-in shower, and the water pressure was adequate. the bathroom basin was conveniently placed in the main roomwith easy access to water for the kettle.

the front desk staff offered friendly and efficient check-in and check-out services. they allowed me to leave my bags behind the desk until i needed to catch my train. the staff members spoke fluent english and seemed very polite.

the breakfast buffet offered a good variety of options to start the day. there was fresh bread daily, alongside scrambled eggs. i also noticed that they seemed to offer early breakfast options for those leaving to catch the bernina express!!!

the location was very convenient for accessing the train station and the historical part of the city. i found it easy to walk with my luggage from the station to the premises. many restaurants and essential services are located nearby.

the staff were kind, especially when i needed directions.
It seemed like an obstacle course before i even checked in. the room's lack of proper curtains didn't help either and they were oddly short. the street noise kept me awake most of the night.
